ERROR: A critical error has occurred. There is insufficient system memory in resource pool INTERNAL

Symptom:

You are receiving the following error from a website using a SQL Server backend:
A critical error has occurred.
There is insufficient system memory in resource pool 'internal' to run this query.
Resolution:

This is most commonly seen on Managed Virtual Servers, and occurs because of insufficient system memory.  This means the OS has run out of available memory, causing SQL (which dynamically grabs and releases mem from the OS as it needs) to fail an operation because it wasn't able to get enough memory when it needed it.

In general, the solution is simply to add more RAM to your Managed Virtual Server, which can be done dynamically with little to no downtime.  If you wish to add more RAM to your Virtual Server, please contact our sales team.
