PDshop memory leak with OLEDB provider

Article ID: 1478

 Back to Search

We have had customers experience a memory leak (continuously growing memory usage by their site's application pool) when using OLEDB db provider in their connection string instead of the newer SQL db provider on PDShop (http://www.pdshop.com/) based sites.

If you've been informed your site is excessively using memory, indicitive of a memory leak, and you have a PDShop based site, please contact PDShop's support services for details on modifying your connection string in your web.config to switch the DB provider you are using.
