The "Web Users" function allows you to create a seperate hosting area in your website for individual users.  For instance, if your domain is mydomain.com, and you create a Web User for user named "Mary", Mary will be have her own web space under your domain accessible at:

www.mydomain.com/~Mary

This hosting space will be accessible to Mary via her own FTP user id and password, created when you create the Web User account for Mary. 

To create a Web User:

1. log into your control panel
2. click on the domain
3. click on the Web Users icon
4. click on Add New Web User, and complete the web form for the new user.

IMPORTANT NOTE: Under the PREFERENCES icon for Web Users is a feature called Enable webuser@domain.com access format.  If you enable this feature, the Web User's webspace will be accessible by webuser@mydomain.com as well as www.mydomain.com/~webuser.  However, to make this work, Plesk will replace your default website document with a file called at_domains_index.html.  The “at_domains_index.html” facilitates the webuser@domain.com site access via a javascript which redirects users to the proper ~webuser subdirectory.   This can cause undesired consequences, most notably, impacting your placement in search engines like yahoo.com and google.com, as most of these services will not process home pages with javascript.  As such, before you enable this feature, we recommend you thoroughly review the impact of this to any aspect of your site hosting, and if you choose to enable it, you assume all associated risks.
