All of the following instructions are followed from inside of the webmail interface.
In order to share your calender, contacts, notes and tasks with others:
-
Select the gear icon, from the left side column in the webmail interface.
-
Expand the sharing section in the second from left column, and select shared resources.
-
Select the New button under the shared resources window, and it will go to a new screen that will ask you what you want to share. In this example it is My calendar so select that and hit next.
-
At this point you are choosing who will have access to your shared resource. You can select by user or by group. To share with all accounts, select the groups radio button and highlight everyone.
-
For access rights you can choose read-only, full control or resource specific settings, like on calenders where it shows availability-only.
-
Than hit save when you are done. Now anybody in your domain can access this resource.
In order to access a shared resource:
-
The process is similar for whatever resource you are looking to share so you can apply these instructions to calendars, notes, tasks, and contacts. But in this case we are focusing on calendars.
-
Click on the calenders icon in the left column.
-
In the top left corner you will see a drop down menu button called My Calender, it is above the New and Actions buttons. Select the My Calender drop down menu and go to mapped resources.
-
If a shared calender exists you will see a calendar from the user who is sharing it. Check the checkbox next to the user who is sharing it and select Attach. The pop up window should go away.
-
Now go to the My Calendar button again and you will see it displays the calendar for your local user, as well as for the other user.
-
If you wish to import that calender to your local instance of outlook, select it first from the My Calendar drop down box, than select actions and add to outlook. That will let you download the file to add it to your outlook account.
