Problem: Receiving error:

Server Application Unavailable

The web application you are attempting to access on this web server is currently unavailable.  Please hit the "Refresh" button in your web browser to retry your request

Resolution:

Server Application Unavailable is generally generated when ASP.net cannot properly execute.  It can be caused by a number of different reasons:

  • You're executing a .Net 2.0 application but have the .Net 1.1 framework enabled on your site. Resolution: change to the right framework version in the control panel, and contact our support team, asking them to recycle your application pool.
  • You've changed from .Net 1.1 to .Net 2.0, and your application pool hasn't been recycled.  Resolution: contact our support team and ask them to recycle your application pool

Please submit a support request indicating you are receiving this error AND if you have just recently changed the ASP.net version on your site via the Control Panel, please let support know that as well as it may be relevant.
