Configuring ASP.NET http handlers

Article ID: 30

 Back to Search

Customers who wish to extend IIS functionality through the use of http handlers as welcome to do so.  Implementing ASP.NET http handlers is a multi-step process, and c-sharpcorner.com offers an excellent review at http://www.c-sharpcorner.com/Code/2004/Aug/HTTPHandlersinASP.NET.asp.

Once you have made necessary changes in your ASP.NET configuration files to support your handlers, you'll also need corresponding changes in the IIS script mappings.  This feature is not available through the control panel, but the 3essentials Support team will gladly make this change for you.  Simply submit a support ticket requesting that script mappings be added for your handlers.  Please specify the following:

  1. extension
  2. .NET version

Support will update your ticket once your request has been completed.
