Question:
I need to be able to email via a stored procedure/smtp using sql server... I'm trying but I get this error: EXECUTE permission denied on object 'sp_OACreate', database 'DBNAME', schema 'sys'
Answer:
- Shared hosting customers: This is not a feature we allow due to performance impact from calling COM/external components in this fashion. Email generating code will need to be executed on the webserver. If this is a requirement for your solution, we can provide for this on a dedicated server solution, but not on our shared hosting solution. Please see our dedicated server plan options on our site, and contact sales@3essentials.com for a dedicated server sales rep to assist you with options and a quote.
- Dedicated server customers: Please submit a support request on this topic.
