3essentials support of IMAP is as follows:

• SHARED hosting web servers:
  • WEB14 and up (i.e., web16, 18, etc): YES
  • WEB10 and below: NO.  Customers on those servers who want IMAP support, should contact the billing team (billing@3essentials.com) and inquire about upgrading your hosting plan to a current plan version which supports IMAP. 
• MANAGED Servers (virtual or dedicated)
  • This will depend on the mail server product edition included with your hosting plan.  Our base mail server solution for all Managed Servers (virtual or dedicated) is MailEnable Standard which does not include IMAP support by default.  An upgrade to a different edition of MailEnable will be required.  
  • Please check with the SALES team regarding your server's mail server product and edition for information on support for IMAP. 

IMAP IDLE support:

• IMAP IDLE is a command option enabled within the IMAP protocol to allow a "push email" type solution
• SHARED hosting webservers:
  • WEB18 and up: YES
  • WEB16 and below: NO
• MANAGED Servers
  • This will depend on the mail server product edition included with your hosting plan.  Our base mail server solution for all Managed Servers (virtual or dedicated) is MailEnable Standard which does not include IMAP support by default.  An upgrade to a different edition of MailEnable will be required.
