For customers hosted on our latest mail servers, the following settings can be used.
All email clients, such as Outlook, Android, etc, will need to be configured with the following settings in order to be used to check email hosted with 3Essentials. Please consult the email client's documentation for instructions on how to properly set up your email account.
User Information:
Your Name: The name of the mail user
E-Mail Address: The email address of the mail user, (ie user@yourdomain.com)
Logon Information:
User Name: Enter the full email address (For incoming and outgoing mail server)
Password: Enter the user's password (For incoming and outgoing mail server)
Server Information: SSL/Encryption is enabled and REQUIRED.
POP3 Port: 995
IMAP Port: 993
SMTP Port: 587 for AUTH-TLS/SSL
Incoming Mail Server: webXX.3essentials.com ( the server on which your site is hosted )
Outgoing Mail Server: webxx.3essentials.com ( the server on which your site is hosted )

Note: We offered port 2525 in the past for custoemrs whose ISPs would block port 25. This was a non-standard port we made available. You now have the option to use standard ports 465 or 587
Incoming Mail Server: XXXX.3essentials.com ( the server on which your mail is hosted )
Outgoing Mail Server: XXXX.3essentials.com ( the server on which your mail is hosted )

Windows: web4, web8, web10, web12, web14, web16, web26, web28, and web30. webmail18, webmail20, webmail22
Linux: web5, web7, web9, web11, and web13

Certain ISP's block port 25, therefore we offer either submission port 587 or on some older servers, port 2525 for the SMTP port.
Incoming Mail Server: mail.yourdomain.com ( change yourdomain.com to your domain )
Outgoing Mail Server: mail.yourdomain.com ( change yourdomain.com to your domain )

The following directions are for adding a new account. If the account already exists in your email client then simply edit the account settings to match those above.
